CHANGES

It has been a while since I have updated the blog and I have so much to write about. We decided to stay the winter in Bullhead City, Az. After which we would head back home and figure where we wanted out life to go from there.

We headed to Riverview RV Resort in Bullhead City. We had been here once before to visit friends from Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway. They have been here for 10 years and had told us about the resort and all it had to offer. We called and rented a site we could stay in with out 5th wheel trailer.

NOTE TO BUD AND HURL – Thank you for showing us around the resort 2 years ago and planting the seed. It worked and we are so very happy to be here.

We pulled in and unhooked, got all situated and headed to the swimming pool. It was beautiful and so relaxing. Got a bit to eat and then decided to ride our bikes around and check out the place. We saw several places for sale and a few for rent. One group of people were sitting outside enjoying happy hour and invited us to join them. We said thank you and said no we were just riding around enjoying the beautiful evening. Again then invited us and we said sure why not. Within minutes they made us feel welcome and like we were part of the community.

We learned quickly that the first question everyone asks is “where are you from”. We swapped stories for a while and ended the evening feeling like we had found somewhere very special. Everyday after that felt like we had just come home. Is that really possible? This place felt right and decided within a couple of days of arriving we wanted to be a part of this community.

Christmas Parade of Golf Carts

After several failed attempts at purchasing a home, we decided maybe this place wasn’t for us. In January 2015 we decided to meet up with friends from our first year here. So we hitched up and headed to Quartzsite, Az. Had a wonderful time with Greg and Thomas. It was great seeing them again.

NOTE TO JERRY – It just isn’t the same without you. I miss you and hope to see you soon. We love you.

We arrived back at place when a friend came to tell us we needed to check out a place where the price had just been lowered.  We didn’t really want to go through all the hassle of falling for a place and it not working out. But felt like we should just go see it. Needless to say we saw it, loved it, and bought it. WE HAVE A NEW PART TIME HOME!

NOTE TO VONNIE – Thank you for telling us about our new home.

Avery and her Mom, Nancy came to visit us in January. We took them to a great little town called Oatman. We had lunch and fed the local burros. I think Avery loved the swimming everyday the best.
